Cheerleading
Tips 1 - The most important part of being a cheerleader
is having "cheer". A bright smile is absolutely essential.
Keep smiling even if you don't feel good. It's part of being
a cheerleader.
Cheerleading
Tips 2 - Be sure you're in top physical shape. You not only
have to have the stamina yourself to be a cheerleader but you
have to lift your teammates and support them on your shoulders.
You don't want to chance dropping them. Exercise and train diligently.
Cheerleading
Tips 3 - Learn the routine better than the rest of them.
There's nothing more embarrasing than forgetting the steps or
forgetting your lines. Practice the moves and the lines until
you have them perfect.
Cheerleading
Tips 4 - Know the names of all the stunts and be able to
distinguish between them. Some cheerleading stunts are the Cupie,
the Pyramid, Tumbling Passes, Toss Liberty, and Basket Tosses.
Cheerleading
Tips 5 - Practice safety first and foremost. Cheerleading
can be "very" dangerous and this danger is often underestimated.
Be sure to use cheerleading mats when practicing and always
make sure there are enough "experienced", supporting
cheerleaders around during more dangerous stunts.
Cheerleading
Tips 6 - To make the cheerleading squad, you must know your
cheers, you must be able to jump high, have a loud, strong,
articulate voice, and basically be happy and "cheer"ful.
You must also be a team player.
Cheerleading
Tips 7 - Stretch thoroughly before cheering. Your body will
need the flexibilty for gymastics, the splits, and the stunts.
If you don't properly warm up through stretching, you could
seriously injure yourself.
Cheerleading
Tips 8 - Don't just copy other cheerleading squads. Come
up with your own stunts. Be creative.
Cheerleading
Tips 9 - Get plenty of sleep and eat a full meal for cheerleading
tryouts, games, or competitions. You need to be wide awake and
have lots of energy to perform your best.
Cheerleading
Tips 10 - Be a lady or a gentleman. Some cheerleaders act
sleazy or trashy and it gives the sport a bad name. We want
to be respected, so act respectable.
Cheerleading
Tips 11- keep positive attitude,ALWAYS SMILE, make the crowd
LOOK at you,and for you ladies who love to compete, thats cool

was 3 and still luvin it! I am now 16 and co-captain of my team!

Tips 13 -
1:Have
a nice clear voice. When you don't no one can hear you you may
still be a cheerleader but if you had a louder voice you would
be better.
2: Learn
you routines practice practice practice. You don't want to embarrass
yourself by not knowing what to do and messing up. Even if it
means giving up something you really want to do its part of
being a cheerleader.
3:Have good
team spirit no one will want to come to the games if you don't
have good spirit.
Cheerleaders are all about having spirit.
4:Stretch
all the time. If all you can do is a cartwheel on a high school
cheer leading squad you probably wont get very far. People love
to see cheerleaders doing handsprins and flips not just cartwheels.
Don't be afraid to try something new trust yourself and you
can do it.
5:Stay in
shape Don't stuff yourself with junk food all that will do is
result to being off the squad.
If you go overweight that is unhealthy and bad for you So stay
in shape and contain a healthy diet -Jaidison
