Tips 1 - When choosing a backpack, choose one that has wide,
padded shoulder straps and a padded back. If you're finding
you have to carry a lot of stuff in your bag, then perhaps buying
a backpack that has wheels is the best option for you.

Tips 2 - If you find you are struggling with a particular
subject, a tutor is a good solution. You can either ask your
teacher for help, or you can look into hiring a professional
tutor through an after school program. Ask your teacher or guidance
counselor for recommendations.

Packing lunches every day is a great way to make sure that you

Tips 4 -
Making "to do" lists is a great way to stay organized
of the things that you need to do on a daily, weekly or monthly
basis. It will keep you from forgetting about big projects that
are assigned in advanced. Using a daily planner is a great way
to go about doing this.

Tips 5 - Allow yourself at least a 15 minute break for every
hour you're studying. This will help to alleviate eye, neck
and brain fatigue while studying. Get up and walk around the

Tips 6 - Sometimes reassurance is needed on the first day
of school. It's sometimes scary starting at a new school, or
a new grade. Letting children, or yourself, know that you are
not the only one that feels this way makes walking through the
door a little easier.

Tips 7 - Doing homework as soon as you get home is always
the best thing to do. Its been a long day of learning new things,
do doing the homework while the information is still fresh in
your head is a great way to make sure you remember it.
School Tips 8 - Before going to bed at night, take a
few minutes to get yourself ready for the next day. Go ahead
and fix your lunch and have it waiting in the fridge. You can
also have your book bag packed with the books, folders and supplies
you'll need for the next day. Plus, having your clothes laid
out means that deciding what to wear is much easier then when
you're rushed in the mornings.
School
Tips 9 - It's very important to have a designated area for
doing homework. Find a place that is quiet, or that has a small
radio if you prefer to have soft background noise, and that
has everything you need for studying.

Tips 10 - Take the time to pack book bags effectively. Take
advantage of all the bags compartments, and place the heaviest
items near the center. In doing this you are lessoning the chance
of pulling a muscle in your shoulder or back by having uneven
weight in your backpack.
School Tips 11 - Many schools are no longer allowing
students to carry their overstuffed backpacks or bookbags throughout
the halls. If this is the case at your school, be prepared.
Make sure you have the essential books and folders you may need
for each class, and, based on the location of your classes,
time to get to and from your locker if you need to drop books
off or pick up additional ones.
